GenStock

In the fall of 2015, Matt and his business partner, Billie Fogarty, hosted their first annual genealogy retreat for professional genealogists, GenStock. Now in their third year, Genstock is the alternative to the more traditional genealogy conference focused on research, rules and protocol. Professional genealogists from across the nation meet annually at this alternative conference to collaborate, make connections and share their wisdom in a more relaxed, less academic setting.

Held at Matt’s 80-acre farm in Northern Michigan, the retreat focuses on the unique business concerns of professional genealogists and restores a little peace in the lives of its participants with its beautiful nature-filled setting.
